Q1: Why was Elden Henson omitted from the initial Daredevil: Born Again announcements?
A1: Marvel Studios initially planned a complete creative departure from the Netflix series, envisioning an episodic courtroom drama with new supporting characters. Following internal creative reviews during the 2023 strikes, executives scrapped that direction, recognizing that Matt Murdock's dynamic with Foggy Nelson and Karen Page was essential to the story's success.
Q2: What roles did Elden Henson play before joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
A2: Henson began working as a child actor, rising to prominence as the powerhouse hockey player Fulton Reed in Disney's The Mighty Ducks franchise (1992, 1996). He later appeared in cult hits like Idle Hands, The Butterfly Effect, and starred as the rebel cameraman Pollux in both parts of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
Q3: Did Elden Henson reprise Foggy Nelson in any other Marvel series before Born Again?
A3: Yes. Outside of the three seasons of Daredevil, Henson appeared as Foggy Nelson across several interconnected Netflix Marvel shows, including The Defenders, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, serving as legal counsel across different corners of New York City.
